John Deering

With 20 years of industry experience, Mr. Deering is responsible for growing AboveNet's expanding portfolio or products and services built upon the Company's premier fiber optic metro network for the Texas Region.

Prior to joining AboveNet, Mr. Deering was a Senior Sales Director at Qwest Communications. In this role, Mr. Deering, a 20-year veteran of the telecommunications industry, was responsible for the starting the National Accounts program for Qwest Communications in the Texas region in the late 1990's.

Mr. Deering started his telecommunications career and spent eight years and held various sales and P&L leadership positions at MCI during its growth stages from 1990 through 1998.

Mr. Deering holds an undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of Tennessee's College of Business Administration.

Alex Quinonez has a successful track record of more than 24 years in the internet security industry with cross-functional experience in the areas of management as well as research and development. He is an author and frequent speaker at industry event and major trade shows such at RSA & InterOP. Currently he is serving as Vice President of Cyberoam. Alex's extensive experience includes various management-level roles at companies like Astaro Security, Enterasys Networks, US Robotics / 3COM and Computer Associates. He has extensive experience in launching innovative security technologies into new markets and working closely with channel partners. Alex has been recognized as a CRN Channel Chief for several years. He holds a bachelors degree in business administration from The University of California at Berkeley.
